Long Over Due Post!

It's been months since my last blog post. And it might have to do with the fact I enjoy reading about everyone else more than I actually like sharing. Opening up is actually a flaw of mine so I'm challenging myself to post more frequently.

Update from last blog-
1. I am officially a leader at Cooper High School! Stephanie (the other girl leader) has been a huge blessing she has shown me her heart and has taken me in like a little sister. Also, It's been super fun getting to know the other members on the leader team. We are all very different but fit together to form a perfect little family. It will be exciting to see how God uses these new relationships to show the love of Christ to these students. At first meeting students was a little slow but then we had our first club! I met a group of sophomore girls who were just a blast and then the next thing I know we were planning a sleepover. The sleepover was great. We sat around the first bonfire of the year  and formed our own little insiders, we opened up, laughed, watched you tube and had yummy s'mores. It has been great making new friends. I'm thankful to be apart of the ministry at Cooper. The Lord is good and knew exactly where to place me and when! So I encourage you when things are uncertain in your life be patient, stay faithful because the Lord has a plan. A plan that will glorify him!

Change

I'm super excited to share with you all what Christ is doing in my life. As I grow in my relationship with Christ I've learned many things about myself that I hope one day I can get closer to overcoming these through his power! One thing I've notice I HATE CHANGE. I've always known change is hard but over the pass year I've realized how hard change actually hits me and most of the time its my hard heart that makes it more difficult then it has to be! Looking back on all those times the Lord has shown me the changes were good and crucial for my relationship with him. Then I was praying last night and realized that it comes down to trust. So that's my prayer for everyone trust in his sovereign plan.
 Some exciting changes:
1. College life is ending this week and to be honest I'm a little upset. I know I can still be apart of their The Davis' lives but it'll be hard to spend time with them being busy. I just love spending so much time with Maria (she is truly a women of God who has a pure and truthful heart). I'll miss Ben's truth and his encouragement. Most of all I will miss watching their kids grow. If you ever seen Maria's blogs, which you should  if you haven't, you will notice her kids give a lot of growth to her relationship with Jesus and I can honestly say I feel that way too! I love her kids so much and love watching them grow up. I know your not suppose to have favorites but Kate holds a special place in my heart. I'm not sure why but I just am very excited to see what Christ has for her life!

Kate (she is beautiful)

So with College life ending it means a new start which brings me to change number two.
2. Leadership. I'm super excited to be starting the leader process. We've been visiting schools lately and its been encouraging. I'm glad I've been able to see Christ moving in different ways. I've only been to Beechwood and Cooper but the love they have for the Lord, each other, and their students is amazing! It's fun to actually get to know their hearts instead of assuming because most of the time I'm wrong about them! I'm excited to get placed into a community/family and start loving there. With that being said I'm open to being placed anywhere because I trust Christ will place me and use me for his glory!

Well there are many changes in my life but I'm not going to bore you with those! Just know this, Christ is trustworthy and I'm excited for his power to change me as I grow closer to Him! God is good!
